How to play Deal or No Deal Live
It’s easy to play Deal or No Deal Live at the best gambling sites in South Africa. Here are the steps to follow to get started:
Choose one of our recommended Deal or No Deal Live casinos, sign up for an account, and make a deposit.
Visit the casino’s live lobby and select Deal or No Deal Live, or search for the game directly if you can.
Wait for the next round to begin and decide on your bet amount.
Choose your difficulty for the qualifying round and spin the wheel to see if you can progress to the ‘Top Up’ and game show rounds.
In the game show, select a briefcase and then see which of the others are opened and take the banker’s offer if you wish. Alternatively, you can wait until only your briefcase is left, at which point you’ll win the prize inside it.
Deal or No Deal Live format
Deal or No Deal Live has three main phases, of which you must qualify from the first for the chance to take part in the game show. They work as follows:
Qualifying round
In the qualifying round, you must set your starting bet amount and then spin the wheel and get it to land on a specified number of gold sections within the set time limit. There are three difficulty modes you can set for this:
Normal – The wheel has three golden sections. This costs your starting bet amount.
Easy – The wheel has two golden sections. This costs 3x your bet.
Very easy – The wheel has one golden section. This costs 9x your bet.
If you meet your target, you’ll progress to the Top Up and game show rounds, but if you fail, you’re out of the game. The amount you bet in the qualifying round also determines the prize on offer in the highest-value briefcase during the game show round.
Top Up round
In the Top Up round, you’re taken to a graphic showing the value of all 16 briefcases in the game show and a wheel. If you want, you can then pay your bet amount to pick a briefcase, spin the wheel and boost the prize in it by whatever amount the wheel lands on. The Top Up round lasts for a specified timeframe, normally a minute.
Game show round
The game show round is where proceedings most closely resemble the TV show. Your objective is to win the biggest possible payout by taking the money in your chosen briefcase or accepting the banker’s offer at any stage if you think that entails a larger amount.
There are 16 briefcases in the game show round, which have standard amounts (before they are potentially increased in the Top Up round) ranging from 0.1x to 500x your bet.
At the start of the round, you must select a briefcase. The host’s assistant then opens three briefcases, and their corresponding amounts are removed. After that, the banker will make their first offer to you – you can select either ‘Deal’ (to take the offer) or ‘No Deal’ (to continue playing).
The process is then repeated, and the banker will make you further offers every time another set of briefcases have been removed. When there are two briefcases remaining, the banker will make one final offer, and you’ll be given the option to swap your chosen briefcase for the other one if you wish.
If you don’t accept the banker’s offer, the prize in your chosen briefcase will be revealed and you’ll get the corresponding payout.
Deal or No Deal Live features
Deal or No Deal Live comes with numerous features that add to the fun and offer more ways to win:
In the Top Up round, you can boost the payouts on offer by a specified multiplier. The wheel normally has a top amount equivalent to the most valuable briefcase, meaning you can transform a low-value prize into a lucrative one or double the biggest payout available.
Throughout the game show, the banker will make you various offers, the value of which depends on which briefcases have been removed and what prizes are still in play. This gives the opportunity to claim a bigger payout than the one potentially offered by your chosen briefcase – provided you take a deal at the right time.
You can use the live chat feature in Deal or No Deal Live to interact with the dealer and other players for a more immersive and social experience.
Deal or No Deal Live RTP and payouts
Deal or No Deal Live has a return to player (RTP) percentage of 95.42%, meaning that for every R100 you bet on the game, you can expect to win an average of R95.42. This is slightly lower than the RTP for other live game shows produced by Evolution, such as Monopoly Live (96.23%) and Crazy Time (96.08%).
However, as there is a maximum bet limit of R22,000 and a top payout of 500x your bet, the biggest possible win in a single round is a massive R11 million. This is among the most lucrative prizes on offer from any game at top South African casinos.
Deal or No Deal Live game strategy
While Deal or No Deal Live is primarily a game of luck, there are tips and elements of strategy you can follow to try and improve your odds of winning and help maintain your bankroll while you’re playing:
While it can be tempting to select the very easy level for the qualifying round, this costs 9x your bet and therefore represents poor value for money compared to easy mode. As a result, you should use it sparingly.
If the banker gives you any offer that would result in a profit, you should immediately consider it. After all, it’s better to earn a small win than to potentially lose a larger amount.
Claim live casino bonuses that you can use on Deal or No Deal Live, as these will give you more money to play with and therefore allow you to place more ambitious bets.
Always gamble responsibly and bet within your means. Don’t chase your losses and use deposit and wagering tools offered by your casino if you feel these will help.
Deal or No Deal Live apps & mobile casinos
You can enjoy the full Deal or No Deal Live experience where and when you like from your smartphone or tablet. There are multiple top mobile casinos in South Africa that offer the game, with comparable quality and loading times to what you’ll find on desktop.
To play on iPhone or Android, load your casino’s mobile site on your smartphone browser or download its dedicated casino app. An important thing to note is when playing on mobile, you may want to ensure you have a wi-fi connection, as the streaming involved with live casino games often means they use more mobile data.
